Ibu Robin Lim is an internationally renowned midwife, humanitarian, author, and founder of the Bumi Sehat Birth Clinics in Bali and the Philippines. She is widely recognized as a pioneer of gentle, physiologic birth and community-based maternal healthcare, especially in regions affected by poverty, disaster, and systemic medical neglect.

Originally from the United States, Ibu Robin moved to Bali in the 1980s, where she was deeply influenced by Indonesian culture, traditional midwifery, and community-centered approaches to birth. Her path shifted irrevocably after witnessing preventable maternal and infant deaths due to lack of access to compassionate, skilled care. In response, she dedicated her life to restoring safe, respectful, and culturally rooted maternity services.

Ibu Robin is a Certified Professional Midwife (CPM) and a respected global educator, mentoring midwives, birth workers, and healthcare practitioners around the world. Her teachings emphasize the neurobiology of safety, the hormonal orchestration of birth, and the long-term societal impacts of how humans are born.

She is also the author of Placenta: The Forgotten Chakra and With Women, works that weave together physiology, spirituality, and social justice.

In 2011, she was awarded the CNN Hero of the Year, one of numerous international honors recognizing her lifelong service to mothers, babies, and communities. Beyond awards, her legacy lives in the generations born into gentler beginnings and the global movement she continues to inspire—one that understands birth not only as a medical event, but as a foundational act of peace, dignity, and humanity.

Sunni is a midwife, author, teacher, and birth consciousness pioneer whose work centers on the sacred and spiritual dimensions of pregnancy, birth, and early life.

Conceived in Copenhagen, born in Paris, and raised in the U.S., her own difficult birth inspired a lifelong commitment to understanding birth trauma, human consciousness, and how babies experience their entrance into the world.

She began her career in education, founding a Waldorf school and teaching kindergarten before becoming a Past Life and Birth Therapist.

In 1992 she trained as a home-birth midwife and went on to develop Sacred Birthing, a paradigm emphasizing respectful, conscious, and gentle births that support the baby’s fullest expression of being.

Sunni holds a Doctorate in Divinity with a dissertation on lovemaking and conception, and she founded the Sacred Birthing Foundation to support mothers, babies, and birthkeepers through education, workshops, community and doula training, and her writing.

Daniel Grose is a devoted husband, father of 4, and mentor for men who take responsibility seriously—especially in their role as partners and fathers. He works with men who know that showing up for their family requires more than good intentions. It requires emotional regulation, self-leadership, and the willingness to face one’s own patterns without blame or collapse. Through Honest Fatherhood, Daniel supports men in developing the inner steadiness needed to be reliable, present, and trustworthy in the home. His work focuses on nervous system regulation, emotional maturity, and relational accountability—so fathers can lead with clarity rather than reactivity. Daniel does not teach ideology, performance, or surface-level fixes. He works with what is real: stress, anger, withdrawal, fear, and the impact these have on partners and children. From there, he helps men build the capacity to stay present under pressure, repair when they miss the mark, and remain engaged through the long arc of family life. His work is especially relevant for men navigating pregnancy, birth, and early parenthood; thresholds that demand a higher level of presence and integrity than many men were modelled growing up. At its core, Daniel’s work is about this: men becoming solid enough inside themselves that their families can relax.
